Today in class students reviewed previously completed practice with area, circumference, and perimeter. We then completed Geometric Properties Test corrections.
Today in class students learned about how the area of shapes changes when you change 1 and then when you change 2 measurements for that shape. Cool patterns emerged!

We will complete test corrections for Geometric Properties Thursday (HW has continued to be review geometric vocabulary and formulas) and then test Friday.
Today in class we practiced more with finding the area and perimeter of circles, triangles, and rectangles.
Answers to HW: 48 square in 78.5 square m 59.13 square in 123.84 square ft perimeter = 80 units area = 286 square units Today in class students learned about the relationship between pi and the area or circumference of a circle. We also began to practice finding the area of different shapes.
Today in class students reviewed how to find the area and perimeter of rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids. We began to check out circles and will continue tomorrow.
Today in class students reviewed again the rules of angles and triangles. We worked together on a number of problems.
