Today in class, students completed the review of perimeter and area. We discovered that the radius of a circle is half way across it to the center, and the diameter of a circle is all the way across the circle through the center. Then we found out that the area of a circle divided by the diameter is equal to pi, or 3.14. Also we made a note that if the radius is half way across, and the diameter is all the way across, a circle, then twice the radius must be the same as the diameter.
Homework: Complete the table on the Explore Circles sheet we began in class.
