Today in class students reviewed Newton's Laws, and then began to learn about electrical circuits.
In class today students completed a Newton's Laws webquest and are almost ready for next week's test on Forces. Just need to study at home.
Today in class students worked together to complete notes from the textbook on Newton's Laws.
Today in class students reviewed energy, motion, forces, and Newton's Laws. We moved on to the textbook sections about Newton's Laws (Chapter 17 sections 3 & 4) and are creating a study product with our groups.
Today in class students took the Motion Test. Tomorrow we will wrap up our discussion/notes about forces.
Today in class students learned more about balanced forces, unbalanced forces, and friction.
Today in class students learned how potential and kinetic energy combine with forces to create motion. Balanced forces mean no movement, unbalanced forces means that there is movement.
Yesterday students received their Newton's Laws physics project instructions - due September 14. Today in class we connected what we have been learning in math about data and graphs with what we have been learning in science about distance/time graphs. We reviewed the differences between speed/time an distance/time graphs. We also reviewed Friday's quiz.
Today in class students took the Motion Quiz. We have a really good study packet about distance/time graphs and speed/time graphs to work with and discuss.
