Today in class students completed testing! We will have TEST CORRECTIONS for the Human Body Systems Unit Test tomorrow.
Homework: Study those body systems again for corrections tomorrow.
In class today students reviewed the weather unit and terms from the entire year.
Homework: Released NCFE questions for practice.
In class today we watched a short video from Discovery Education about simple machines, and played quizlet live to review the vocabulary.
Today in class students wrapped up their study of the digestive system. For their three days of work, they received a classwork grade. The only quiz this time is a review quizizz, with a final unit test next Thursday.
In class today students worked to understand:
How does the digestive system help maintain homeostasis?
What excretory functions does the digestive system perform?
Homework: In your notebooks (or electronics) answer the questions listed above. Remember that we will use quizizz in class for a review of the digestive system tomorrow before moving on to review for the final exam. The body systems unit test will be the same day as our final.
Today in class students began to work on their understanding of the structures and functions of the digestive system.
Homework: What are the structures of the digestive system? What do these structures do?
Today in class we reviewed the circulatory system and respiratory system quizzes. We spent a good deal of time discussing how the body systems work together to maintain the entire body, homeostasis, and individual body systems. All cells need nutrients, oxygen, and waste removal to stay alive and functional regardless of their other functions in the body. We will spend the next 3 days working to learn about the digestive system.
