Today in class students learned about the expectations for the Severe Weather Project this quarter. We continued to work on the water cycle.
Today in class students were wrapping up their water cycle model. There are questions to ponder in the google classroom as well...
Today in class students realized that a lot more detail is needed to complete their water cycle model in 7th grade as opposed to elementary school. The vocabulary and sample illustrations are posted in the google classroom.
Today in class students completed the Atmosphere Interpreting Data Quiz (all answers are on the quiz in illustrations or tables and charts). We also began creating a model of the water cycle.
Today in class students wrapped up their studies of the layers of the atmosphere.
Today in class students defined some of the properties of the layers of the atmosphere. Why do meteors burn up in the mesosphere? How is it that the temperature of the exosphere is super hot, but you would freeze if you went there? What does the ozone layer do to the temperature of the stratosphere? Where do all of the weather events happen? Why do we measure the humidity so often? What tools do we use to measure the weather?
Today in class students had another terrific discussion about the layers of the atmosphere, along with ozone and pollution. We continue to peruse the choices offered including work pages in the classroom, interactive sites, videos, and articles. Most students are creating excellent and colorful note pages, posters, slide shows, and a quizlet too. Quick check 2 was today.
Today in class students had their first single question quick check about the composition of the atmosphere. Class discussions are going well, and group work includes creating posters of the layers, a quizlet has been created, and slide shows about the layers of the atmosphere.
Today in class students continued to work to explore many options to learn about the composition and layers of the atmosphere.
