We have begun the new Atmosphere TOC. Using the online textbook and journal TOC pages 1 - 4., study the layers of the atmosphere: know the order and names of the layers, and their characteristics. Tests and quizzes appear sooner than you think...
Please complete your notes on Atmosphere TOC 3 from Chapter 2 section 2 of the textbook. You may access the textbook online at pearsonsuccessnet.com. Please refer to the resources tab here on the weebly for the instructions. I apologize in advance - the online textbook does not like Apple products. Also note - if you missed the notes from Tuesday, and are having a hard time catching up TOC 1, the power point is also on the resources tab.
No new homework - see yesterday's post. Simple machines test tomorrow.
Please watch the Brain Pop on Earth's Atmosphere. Either email the quiz results to me, OR take a screen shot of your name, plus the title of the video and your score to show to me in class. Please read the Way Back When article under the FYI tab for this video, and either print, tape, and annotate the article, on Atmosphere TOC 2, or write out notes in your journal on TOC 2. DUE Wednesday.
Don't forget the Simple Machines Test is coming up on Wednesday. Do you know your simple machines, how they work, and what the mechanical advantage is?
Review simple machines for the test coming up on Wednesday. We will review benchmark results on Monday and begin Atmospheric layers and composition.
Continue to review each night energy forms and transformations, circuits and electricity. The textbook is now available online. Check out the instructions in the science resource tab.
Please begin to study forms and transformations of energy, electrical circuits, and simple machines for a few minutes each night. We will test on these next Wednesday September 28. Our science 1st quarter Benchmark will be Friday.
