Today in class students received the Cell Project instructions and rubric. It should not take more than 2 days of good class work with your group to complete the analogy between a cell and another system of your choice (for example: a factory).
Today in class students worked to understand more about plant and animal cells, organelles and functions, photosynthesis, cell respiration, and mitosis/meiosis.
Today in class students discussed what they have learned over the past two days that was new to them about cells. We continued to explore the structures and functions of cells and organelles inside the cells. We have some Discovery Education video clips on a choice board in the google classroom to add to our learning options. Every option includes creating some sort of product to study later.
Today in class students had a lot more choices of activities for their group to choose from and learn about plant and animal cells. Most students made good progress!
