Today in class students worked on what graphs of distance and time do and don't tell us.
Today in class students learned about variable, independent variable, dependent variable, and constant variable. We also read a little bit about the rules of graphing. This is to lead up to understanding motion graphs this week. MOTION TEST next week.
Today in class students voted on the most important elements of the class social contract. We will draw it up and post it for all students to recognize and abide by. We also reviewed the PE/KE test and began to look at the elements of graphing motion.
Today in class students and I discussed motion, reference point, relative motion, speed, acceleration, and graphing motion. We also talked about how this is relevant to everyday life. We took a very short quiz on motion and reference points (no graphs yet).
Today in class students in 7th period discussed how we as a team on 7/2 are going to be successful working together. In 1st period students reviewed the rest of the energy transformation flowchart and worked on reading about Motion, Reference Points, and Relative Motion. Students are creating note pages to be able to study later.
Today in class students in 1st period discussed how we as a team on 7/2 are going to be successful working together. In 7th period students reviewed the rest of the energy transformation flowchart and worked on reading about Motion, Reference Points, and Relative Motion. Students are creating note pages to be able to study later.
Tomorrow, 1st period students will complete today's tasks, and 7th period will finish the discussion about working together. Today in class students discussed forms of energy and their transformation from one form to another. We completed the PE/KE Test corrections and began to read about motion.
Today in class students continued their investigation into energy transformations. Photosynthesis and cell respiration are energy transformations in cells, and forms of transportation (planes, cars, trains) all use energy transformation to work.
Today in class students looked at different forms of energy and how one type transforms into another. We had a sub today while I was a county mandated math training.
