Today in class students checked out today's forecast (it's going to rain), and began to read about air masses and fronts in our textbook (chapter 4 section 1 for those of you who wish to use the online text).
Today in class students began their research for the severe weather project. The rubric is under the resources tab. There are 4 due dates. The first was for deciding which of the four types of severe weather you would like to research. The next is for the completed quilt piece (Nov 3). The next due date is for all research to be done (Dec 8). Finally the finished and well researched product is due Dec 21. Merry Christmas to me!
Today in class students reviewed the weather forecast, took the Atmosphere/Water Cycle Test, and then began their Severe Weather Project Quilt Piece which is due November 3rd.
Today in class students who have completed their water cycle model are working through interactives, videos, and a webquest to learn more about how the sun drives the weather.
